I was just browsing some webmaster forums when I discovered it, I do not remember which one it was, but I had this saved on my computer, so decided to share it with my fellows. 
This is a compilation of innovative and unique ways of marketing your website (mostly offline) – and it is almost guarantted that you’ll get a LOT of PRESS Attention, Visitors and probably $$ 
- Stand on top of a building like you’re about to jump with your website around your neck. (demand Kanye)
- Go to a televised college football game, get a flag with your site on it, and run through the field.
- Go to a big concert and stand in your underwear at the entrance with a sign around your neck advertising your site.
- Follow your local news van around town until they stop to film something for live TV.
- Throw a shoe at your local politician and scream the URL to your site. (Make sure it’s televised first)
- Run for mayor of your town.
- Pretend to be an employee at BestBuy and tell customers who ask for a computer to go to your site because there’s a big discount there.
- Get a hot air balloon and float in the middle of the busiest intersection with a banner of your site hanging down.
- Spraypaint your URL on the street.
- Put up a roadsign with your URL.
- Go to a large event where someone is speaking on stage, casually walk up to the microphone, and promote your site in 5 seconds, then just walk off.
- Replace the local newspaper at gas stations with your fliers that look like newspapers. (the one that you pay 25c to open the box)
- Go to movie openings and tell everyone that they can watch free movies on your site. (Do this after the movie because you’ve already paid for it)
- Get an ink stamper and go to any populated place and just start stamping people.
- Throw a fake baby with your URL out the window of a 5 story building in a populated area.
- Hire someone to write your URL in the sky
- Throw bricks through people’s windows with your URL on it. (probably best with security CPA offers)
- Like the BestBuy one, pretend to be an employee in a well populated store and tell people to go to your site.
- Hire Mexicans and little kids who mow lawns to write your URL in people’s lawns.
- Steal a car and put your security CPA flier on their window a block down the street. (teens and old cars…just saying)
- Get a tube and some blowdarts and attach a little paper to it with your URL. Stand in the bushes of a populated place.
- Get a harpoon and stand at an intersection in the bushes, same as 21.
